Thoughts on Mind and 'Personal' God

We all would have a personal God in our mind and the moment someone speaks about 'God', the mind searches for the photographic memory of the personal God and brings the picture in front of our eyes. The mind begins to think about the glory of the personal God, about how 'He' helped during the times of distress, and the prayers that were offered and how they were answered. At one point of time, when the mind feels that the prayers have not been answered,i.e, when the mind thinks that things have gone the other way, it begins to interrogate as to 'Did I commit any wrong deed? Then why did this not happen?'. It begins to question further the personal God regarding this. The mind pitiably crys to the Lord about its negative feelings. At the same time, the mind jumps and cries with the positive feelings of happiness, the moment it 'thinks' that the prayers have been answered. In reality, the prayers are always answered. He expresses himself the way mind wants Him to. The way one imagines Him, same is the way he projects himself. The very same personal God becomes 'impersonal' when the mind begins to think that He is beyond imagination. The mind is very tactful and so are its tricks!
